We have EXPECTATIONS for your students:
· We expect you to come to class everyday with a positive attitude and ready to give your best. I know some days will be better than others, but always do your best that day.
· WE expect you to be respectful, to the school, your classmates, any visitors, and me.
· We expect you to be responsible. You are the only one in control of your grade and success level in this class. Be responsible with your classwork, supplies, homework, and study habits.
30% -Daily Grades and Homework
70% -Some labs, projects and all Tests
The district has a new grading policy this year and it is available on the district website. If you score less than an 85 on any assignment you will have the OPPORTUNITY to attend a reteach tutorial and complete a new assignment or test to show mastery of the objective. You can receive a maximum of an 85% on the new assignment or test.
If you choose to not turn in an assignment or turn in late work you will be assigned a Tuesday or Thursday after school detention to complete the assignment.
Everyday of the week there will be a 7th grade science teacher available for tutoring or assistance on any particular assignment. The schedule is posted on all science doors. You can also scan this QR code to have a copy of the schedule.
Our doors are always open for any student that needs to talk to me about any issues, classroom or personal. For parents the best way to get a hold of us is through email or school phone. Email is usually the best and fastest way to get in touch with us. Please make sure that your information in up to date on SKYWARD with a current email for when we need to send a group message.
